EPPING FOREST OUTDOOR GROUP

A slightly off-beat visit to a falconry demonstration at Belhus Woods in Essex on 12th March 2006. The day proved both enjoyable and interesting. We didn't get much walking in - and no cycling - but did do a bit of flying. Or at least, the hawks and falcons did. We also did a bit of knot-work - learning some of the knots that falconers use in their art. Some of the Group weren't sure about the ethics of Falconry, but we probably all agreed how interesting and enjoyable a day it had been.
