Epping Forest Outdoor Group celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2016. It was formed and still is a group for those people who want to do a range of activities in the outdoors. We don't specialise but will try nearly anything.
We arrange something for most weekends, with walking and cycling being our most frequent outdoor activities. The length of these walks and rides vary from just a few miles to however far members might like to cover, so we cater for a range of abilities. We also have a wide range of social events which our members might put on the programme.
We are affiliated to the YHA (England and Wales) and we might go hostelling, camping or possibly stay B & B or at a hotel, either for the weekend or a longer period.
Regular Thursday evening meetings are held in Wanstead to socialise and to plan our weekends, maybe with a talk or a quiz, or a variety of other activities.
If you would be interested in coming along to see what we get up to and to meet some of us, drop in one Thursday evening between 8.00 pm and 10:00pm to Rovsco Hall, on the corner of Hollybush Hill and High Street, E11 1PE, which is just south of The Eagle pub (Toby Carvery) and close to Snaresbrook station.
